Caroline Casaretto

Caroline Casaretto (born May 24, 1978 in Krefeld ) is a former German hockey player who became Olympic champion in 2004.

Career

The midfielder began her career at Crefelder HTC , after which she played at Münchner SC until the end of the 2007/2008 season . In the German national team , Caroline Casaretto scored 9 goals in a total of 83 games. She won silver at the 1999 European Championships and bronze at the 2003 European Championships. Her greatest success was winning the gold medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens after finishing seventh with the German team four years earlier. Today Casaretto is a primary school teacher in Munich .

For her Olympic victory in 2004 she received the silver laurel leaf on March 16, 2005.
