Caroline Roose (born November 10, 1968 in Ostend ) is a Belgian politician ( AEI ). In the course of the 2019 European elections , she won a mandate and has since been a member of the ninth European Parliament as part of the Greens / EFA group . She lives in France.

Life

Caroline Roose was born in Ostend on November 10, 1968 , but moved to France as part of her professional career. Among other things, she worked as a real estate specialist and as an artist. She has lived in Villeneuve-Loubet ( Alpes-Maritime ) for more than 40 years .

Roose joined the Alliance écologiste indépendante , and was later elected one of the party's three general secretaries. In 2019 the AEI nominated her for the electoral list of the 2019 European elections . It received 8th place on the joint list of Europe Écologie-Les Verts (EELV), Alliance écologiste indépendante (AEI) and Régions et peuples solidaires (RPS). The joint list of EELV, AIE and RPS won 13.43 percent and thus 13 of the 79 French mandates, including Caroline Roose. Since then she has been a member of the ninth European Parliament and joined the group of the Greens / EFA together with the elected members of the EELV . Besides Selima Yenbou, she is the only AEI MP. For her group she is a member of the Committee for Regional Development , as well as a deputy member of the Development Committee and the Fisheries Committee .
