Caroll Vanwelden (born May 24, 1971 in Gent ) is a Belgian jazz singer and pianist .

Vanwelden began to play classical piano at the age of seven, and later she also took singing lessons. Until 1994 she completed an engineering degree at the Free University of Brussels . She completed her music studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London in 1998. Then she worked as a singer on various jazz projects. During the time of the birth of her two children (2001 to 2003) she began to write her own songs. In 2008 her debut album Colors was released . In 2011 she moved to Heidelberg with her family .
