Carsten Eder

Carsten Eder (born June 13, 1978 in Heidelberg ) is a German film editor .

He attended the Waldpark elementary school and then the Helmholtz high school in Heidelberg . After various internships in film production companies, he began his studies at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy in 2002 . He majored in editing ; in 2006 he got his diploma.

Several films, short films and music videos were made during the course. In cooperation with the director Nikias Chryssos , a school friend of Carsten Eders, the short film Hochhaus , which was awarded at several film festivals and shown in the supporting program of the Berlinale in 2006, was made . While working on the skyscraper , Carsten Eder met the director Nico Hofmann , who supervised the project as a lecturer. Nico Hofmann then brought him into the team to edit the two-part TV series Die Flucht , produced for ARD , which was first broadcast in March 2007.

His next project as editor, the episode film May 1st - Heroes at Work , ran in 2008 as part of the Berlinale's supporting program . Also in 2008 he worked on the ProSieben series Innocent , where he was responsible for editing the first season of episodes 5 to 8.
