Carsten Körber (born June 11, 1979 in Zwickau ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and business economist. He has been a member of the 18th German Bundestag since 2013 .

career

Körber studied political science and business administration at the Technical University of Chemnitz from 2000 to 2005 .

He joined the CDU in 2002. From 2005 to 2012 he headed the office of the Bundestag member Michael Luther . Since 2005 he has been chairman of the Mülsen CDU community association. From 2010 to 2012 he was deputy chairman of the CDU district association Zwickau, and since 2012 first deputy chairman. From 2009 to 2012 he was a member of the municipal council and honorary deputy mayor of the Mülsen municipality . In 2012 he headed the office for economic development of the city of Zwickau.

In the 2013 federal election , Körber won the direct mandate in the Zwickau federal constituency with 44.6 percent of the first votes . He is a full member of the Budget Committee and the Audit Committee and a deputy member of the Economic and Energy Committee .

Since 2012 he has been chairman of the Zwickau district association of the SME and business association .

On September 24, 2017, Carsten Körber was once again able to win the direct mandate for the constituency of Zwickau (165) and will thus join the Bundestag for another term.

In the 19th German Bundestag , Körber is a full member of the budget committee and the auditing committee . He is also a deputy member of the Committee for Economic Affairs and Energy .

Private

Carsten Körber is married and of Evangelical Lutheran denomination.
