history

Since Saxony lost one constituency in the 2009 Bundestag election and a major district reform took place in Saxony in 2008 , most of the Saxon constituencies were redefined. The constituency of Zwickau, which included the former district of Zwickauer Land and the city of Zwickau in the 2005 Bundestag election , was given its current name and number for the 2009 Bundestag election. In addition, it was expanded to include the municipalities of Glauchau , Meerane , Schönberg , Oberwiera , Remse and Waldenburg , which were located in the former Chemnitzer Land district , and until 2009 were in the disbanded Chemnitzer Land - Stollberg constituency .
