Carsten Krämer

Carsten Krämer (born July 29, 1974 ) is a former German soccer goalkeeper who came to the Bundesliga for MSV Duisburg .

Career

Krämer began playing football in his youth at SV 04 Düsseldorf and moved from there to Fortuna Düsseldorf . At this club he was in the squad of the first team that competed in the third-class Oberliga Nordrhein during the 1993/94 season. For the goalkeeper, further stations in amateur football followed, first with Wuppertaler SV and then with its city rivals Cronenberger SC . From there he moved to SSV Sudberg, also based in Wuppertal . This was followed by another station in amateur football with 1. FC Union Solingen , before he was taken under contract in 1999 by Bundesliga club MSV Duisburg .

In Duisburg he was initially intended for the amateur team of the MSV, which was competing in the major league , and took the regular place in the goalkeeping position in this. On May 20, 2000 Krämer took the last season game of the professionals against Hamburger SV on the bench and was substituted in the 63rd minute for goalkeeper Gintaras Staučė . He made his debut in the top German division at the age of 25, with Duisburg relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga after this game. After his only professional assignment, Krämer returned to the amateurs of the MSV and was only called up for them before he left the club in 2001.
