Gintaras Staučė (born December 24, 1969 in Alytus ) is a former Lithuanian football goalkeeper .
Career
societies
Staučė started his career in his home country at FBK Kaunas , but switched to Spartak Moscow at the age of 17 . From there it went to Turkey in 1994. There he played for one year each for Galatasaray Istanbul , Karşıyaka SK and Sarıyer SK , before moving to the Bundesliga for MSV Duisburg in 1997 . After he had conquered the regular place in 1998 and was twice Bundesliga eight with the MSV, the relegation to the 2nd division followed in 2000 . There he stayed with the club for another year, only to seek his fortune in Greece from 2001. Here he was one season each with Akratitos Ano Liosia , Fostiras Athens and Kallithea FC . In 2004 he went to Latvia for FK Jurmala , where he guarded the gate until 2006.
National team
Staučė represented his country internationally. Between 1992 and 2004 he was in goal for Lithuania 61 times . In 1994 and 1998 he emerged from the Baltic Cup with Lithuania as the winner. The country did not qualify for a World Cup or European Championship finals in those years.
Trainer
Since the end of his active career (2007), Staučė has worked as a goalkeeping coach at four Russian clubs: Spartak Moscow (2007 to December 31, 2009), Schemchuschina Sotschi (January 1, 2010 to August 1, 2011), Terek Grozny (October 5, 2009) 2011 to June 30, 2013) and Amkar Perm (July 1, 2013 to April 9, 2014). On April 10, 2014, he took over goalkeeping training at Dinamo Moscow .
