Cartridge ([ 'kaːtrɪdʒ ], English for cassette ) is a four-piece indie band from Denmark founded in 2002 .

history

The band put together their first demo tape from three pieces in 2004 and received a positive response from both Denmark and German independent radio stations. Thereupon the Danes decided to take a spontaneous and hardly organized tour through Europe with a white motorhome called “Moby Dick”. In the course of this, the band not only won the cooperation with the record label Records & Me through a breakdown with the tour bus on the Hamburg Reeperbahn and the involuntary stopover , but also collected enough at the following concerts in Germany, France, Belgium, Switzerland and the Czech Republic Inspirations for her first debut EP Nowhere Fast , which was released in February 2005.

On June 26th, Cartridge finally played at the Roskilde Festival , but at the same time they developed their first album, which was released in May 2006 under the name Enfant Terrible . With Enfant Terrible , according to the conviction of numerous music reviewers, Cartridge orientate themselves towards the established genre of British, Scandinavian or American indie rock bands, but at the same time emancipate themselves from it.

In 2008 her second album Fractures was released, in 2009 the single The Woods was released from it.
