Casével is a place and a municipality in Portugal in the district of Castro Verde in the Baixo Alentejo with 33.7 km² and 447 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011). The population density is 13.3 inhabitants per km². The agriculture with cork oaks, olive trees and wheat fields as well as cattle breeding is the main source of income in the place and the surrounding area.
On September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Casével and Castro Verde were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Castro Verde e Casével .
