Casa Muley-Afid

Casa Muley-Afid ( Catalan for home Muley-Afid ) is a villa in the style of Modernism with gardens in Barcelona . The facility is located on Passeig de la Bonanova No. 55 in the Sarrià-Sant Gervasi district .

history

The villa was planned in 1911 by the architect Josep Puig i Cadafalch on behalf of the Sultan of the Alawids , Mulai Abd al-Hafiz , and completed in 1914. The house was inhabited by the Sultan and his family until 1937. In 2002 the building was restored by architects Pere Joan Ravetllat and Carme Ribas. It has been included in the list of cultural assets of local interest by the Catalan regional government and is therefore a listed building. It is currently the seat of the Consulate General of Mexico .
