The Casa de la Cadena (Eng. House of the Chain ) in Ciudad Rodrigo , a Spanish city ​​in the province of Salamanca , was built in the 16th century. The building on Rúa del Sol is a protected architectural monument ( Bien de Interés Cultural ).

The 16th century mansion was named after the relief of a chain that frames the portal ( Alfiz ). The arched portal consists of large house stones . On the second floor there is a corner window with a column , above which the coat of arms of a former owner of the house is attached. Inside, only the patio bears witness to the former splendor of the building, which was used as a police barracks for a long time and therefore underwent a lot of renovations.
