Germany

Arnsberg plant

In Germany, the company took over the factory in Arnsberg from the Stora group in 1997 and incorporated it into the merger with Reno De Medici in 2008. Around 300 employees there produce 230,000 t of folding boxboard from waste paper every year. This makes it one of the largest commercial employers in this city.

The company is continuing a tradition that began in 1901 with the establishment of Ruhrwerke AG. The first board machine was put into operation in 1903 and a second in 1906. In 1918 the factory was taken over by the Reisholz company and in 1928 by Feldmühle AG . In 1955, a high-pressure coal power plant was built alongside the previous hydropower plant and a third board machine was put into operation in 1957. In 1989 the board machine 1 and the wood grinding shop were shut down. In 1990 the plant was owned by Stora, in 1997 by Cascades and finally by Reno De Medici in 2008.
