Caspar Christian Gutbier (* 1709 in Langensalza ; † January 27, 1785 in Pforta ) was a German lawyer and electoral Saxon bailiff and heir, feudal lord and court lord on Plotha, Auligk and Kleinbrießlich.

Life

Gutbier embarked on an administrative career and studied law at the University of Erfurt and received his doctorate in both rights.

The Commissioner HJ Spindler was his father-in-law. From him he took over the function of bailiff of the Electoral Saxon Office Pforta in the Thuringian district in 1746 .

After the death of his brother Christian Ernst Gutbier, legal disputes with his brother Johann Ludwig Gutbier broke out because of the seizure of the fiefdom in West Prussia.

He was buried in the church in Pforta on January 31, 1785 with the permission of the elector. At his death he left the following sons: Carl Theodor Christian Gutbier, Moritz Adolph Gutbier, Ludwig Heinrich Gutbier and Sigismund Polycarp Gutbier (born October 30, 1753). The latter, like his father, became a bailiff to Pforta. He specifically administered the judicial office there.
