Agriculture has long been practiced on the fertile soils around Auligk, and this area is dominated by very large fields and meadows. The area is characterized by the flat landscapes that are predominant in the North German Plain . Here the plain gradually changes to the low mountain range threshold, which can be seen in the light hills in the area.

history

View of the Auligk manor

Auligk was called "Vlok" around 1210. A special feature of the village was that in the Middle Ages the border between the dioceses of Naumburg-Zeitz and Merseburg ran through the village . As a result, Auligk also separated a political border for centuries. A stone atonement cross comes from this time, but is no longer in its original location today.

A manor house has been documented in Auligk since 1191. Around 1367 there was a knight's seat in the village, and in 1548 two manors were mentioned. These were the manor Oberauligk in Oberauligk and the manor Auligk in Unterauligk, which in 1603 was separated into the manor of the upper part and the manor of the lower part . Oberauligk and Unterauligk were divided in two by the boundary of the Rotengrabengericht. This ran on the route from Profen to Langendorf , which ran through Auligk . Oberauligk with the manor Oberauligk belonged to the charitable share of the Zeitz diocese. Upper Unterauligk with the manors and nether partly and the church was part due to the awarding of nine hooves country on 6 May 1210 to the Margrave of Meissen , Dietrich the oppressed , to Mark county Meissen and subsequently to Albertine Saxony, which has the Capitulation of Wittenberg 1547 was called the Electorate of Saxony .

Oberauligk was in the Zeitz office until 1815 , which as part of the Naumburg-Zeitz bishopric had been under Electoral Saxon sovereignty since 1561 and belonged to the secondary school- principality of Saxony-Zeitz between 1656/57 and 1718 . The literary manor Oberauligk owned the patronage rights and the upper and lower jurisdiction in Oberauligk. Parts of the places Minkwitz and Traupitz were still subordinate to him . a. the von Stöntzsch family (1403–1523), the episcopal governor Eberhard vom Thor (16th century), the families von Kayn (1629–1712), von Neitschütz (1662), von Schulenburg , von Helldorff , wife of Einsiedel (1729). The Spindler, Gutbier and Heinze (1924) families were later named as owners. The manor house was demolished in 2000.

Unterauligk with the church belonged to the Electoral Saxon or Royal Saxon Office Pegau . The manorial rule over Unterauligk lay with the manor Auligk, which was in writing and was separated into the upper and lower part in 1603 by the Raschko brothers. The Auligk manor below part had been owned by the von Görschen family since 1639 . Friedrich August Emmanuel von Görschen had the classicist mansion built in 1810. In 1929 the lower part passed to the Finke family. Today the renovated property is used as a residential building. The manor Auligk upper part belonged to a Schindler family around 1924. During the GDR until 2001 it was used as a kindergarten.

After the defeat of Napoleon and the allied Kingdom of Saxony , the Kingdom of Saxony had to cede a large part of its territory to the Kingdom of Prussia following a resolution by the Congress of Vienna in 1815 . The Zeitz office, to which Oberauligk also belonged, was incorporated into the Prussian province of Saxony . On the basis of the main convention on the peace treaty of 1815 between the kings of Prussia and Saxony, it was determined that Oberauligk and Unterauligk and their corridors remain with the Kingdom of Saxony. As a result, the former donation share has since been administered by the Pegau Office. However, changes occurred in the parish of Auligk, which also had an impact on the school affiliation of the neighboring towns. After Auligk, the places Kleinprießligk , Könderitz, Minkwitz and Traupitz were parish. But since the last three places belonged to the Zeitz Monastery, they were affected by the assignment to Prussia in 1815. As a result, in addition to Auligk, only the Saxon Kleinprießligk remained parish after Auligk. The church, parish and school of Auligk belonged to the Zeitz Monastery, which was now in Prussia. As a result, the parish Auligk was placed under the inspection in Pegau .

In 1831 “Auligk, Oberhof”, “Auligk, unter Theils” and “Auligk, obern Theils” were performed separately. From 1856 Auligk belonged to the Pegau court office and from 1875 to the Borna district administration . On September 1, 1948, Kleinprießligk, Löbnitz-Bennewitz , Gatzen and Saasdorf were incorporated . In 1952 Auligk was assigned to the Borna district in the Leipzig district. The community area expanded on July 1, 1973 through the incorporation of Methewitz (with the districts Käferhain and Nöthnitz ) and Michelwitz (with the districts Maltitz , Pautzsch and Zschagast ). By the Groitzscher Dreieck opencast mine (1974-1991) the district of Zschagast was devastated in 1981 and the district of Käferhain in 1985/86.

Auligk came to the Borna district in Saxony in 1990 and to the Leipziger Land district in 1994 . With the incorporation of Auligk into Groitzsch on January 1, 1996, the ten existing places in the municipality of Auligk became districts of the city of Groitzsch.
