Wischstauden is a district of the city of Groitzsch in the district of Leipzig (Free State of Saxony ). The place was formed in 1933 from large shrubs and small shrubs and incorporated into the town of Groitzsch in 1948.
geography
Wischstauden is located in the Leipzig lowland bay two kilometers east of Groitzsch. The Schnauder flows through the village . The Dreilindenberg (154 m above sea level) offers a good panorama of the city of Groitzsch. Wischstauden is located in the central German lignite district . The area east of the village was excavated between 1976 and 1978 by the Peres opencast mine (in operation 1963–1991). The area has now been renatured.
history
Wischstauden was mentioned in 1238 as "Gotscalcus de Wystudenn". Since the 15th century a distinction has been made between large and small shrubs. While the jurisdiction over Großwischstauden lay with the Council of Pegau , around 1548 Kleinwischstauden was partly subordinate to the Groitzsch manor , the parish of Groitzsch and the council of Pegau, and around 1764 to the Mausitz manor . Large and small shrubs were in the Electoral Saxon and Royal Saxon Office of Pegau until 1856 . From 1856 both places belonged to the Pegau court office and from 1875 to the Borna district administration .
On October 1, 1933, large and small shrubs were merged to form the municipality of Wischstauden. This was incorporated into Groitzsch on October 1, 1948. As a district of Groitzsch, Wischstauden was assigned to the Borna district in the Leipzig district in 1952, the Borna district in 1990, the Leipziger Land district in 1994 and the Leipzig district in 2008.
The Peres opencast mine, opened in 1963, dredged the area east of Wischstauden between 1976 and 1978. After its temporary closure in 1991, the area was renatured.
