history

Kleinprießligk was mentioned in 1484 as "Priestelwig" or "Pristelwick". In contrast to Großpriesligk to the northeast, the spelling with "ß" has prevailed for Kleinprießligk. Kleinprießligk was in the Electoral Saxon or Royal Saxon Office of Pegau until 1856 . In 1548, the land rulership of the place lay partly with the Pegau monastery and the Auligk manor . After the secularization of the Pegau monastery, this local part was directly subordinate to the Pegau office.

From 1856 Kleinprießligk belonged to the Pegau court office and from 1875 to the Borna district administration . The place was incorporated into Auligk on September 1, 1948 . As a district of Auligk, Kleinprießligk came to the Borna district in the Leipzig district in 1952, to the Borna district in Saxony in 1990 and to the Leipziger Land district in 1994 . When Auligk was incorporated into Groitzsch on January 1, 1996, Kleinprießligk became a part of the town of Groitzsch.

During the GDR , a pig fattening facility and a dairy cattle facility were put into operation in 1970 by the LPG , in which around 4,400 pigs and 600 cows are currently kept. Compared to the 44 inhabitants of the village, the complex takes up a large part of the place.
