Caspar Gottlob von Rodewitz
Caspar Gottlob von Rodewitz (* September 1679 in Oderwitz , † March 13, 1721 in Görlitz ) was a German wood carver and stone sculptor.
From 1709 Rodewitz worked mainly in Görlitz. His most famous works there include the pulpit and the altar in the Frauenkirche (1706 and 1712, respectively) and the high altar in the Trinity Church (1713). The pulpit of the Nikolaikirche (~ 1717–1721), which is now in Plauen's Johanniskirche , probably comes from him .
His colleague Johann Matthäus Oberschall also worked at the Dresden Zwinger .
