Caspar Schultze
Caspar Schultz (e) (* 1635 in Bremen ; † March 1715 in Bremen) was a German engraver .
biography
Schultze learned the profession of copperplate engraver. In 1656 he made his first portrait as an engraving. In 1664, in collaboration with the rector of the grammar school illustrious Gerhard Meier (1616–1695), he dug a city map showing Bremen with its new fortification with bastions . He dealt with the construction of instruments, especially in surveying. In 1690 he created another current city map of Bremen. He made other portraits, including for Koster's Bremer Chronik. The siege of Bremen by the Swedes in the Second Bremen-Swedish War of 1666 was also documented by him in a plan.
