The Castle Mountain ( dt. "Castle Hill") is a mountain in the Canadian province of Alberta . It is 2766  m high.

Its profile resembles a castle. James Hector named it in 1858. Arthur P. Coleman made the first ascent in 1884. One day before US President Dwight D. Eisenhower visited Ottawa, Canadian Prime Minister William Lyon Mackenzie King decided to climb the mountain as "Mount Eisenhower" in 1946 rename it. It wasn't until 1979 that the mountain got its original name back.

During the First World War there was an internment camp here, the Castle Mountain internment camp .
