history
Founded in 1867, Queen's Park FC moved here from old Hampden Park in 1873 in 1884 . In 1903 Queen's Park left Hampden Park. Third Lanark took over old Hampden Park and renamed the stadium New Cathkin Park . Later it was known simply as Cathkin Park .
Third Lanark's last game at Cathkin took place on April 25, 1967, when there was a 3-3 draw with Queen of the South . In the same year the association was dissolved.
The stadium then fell into disrepair and most of the stadium was gradually removed.
