Cathrin Pfeifer
Cathrin Pfeifer is a German accordion player and composer .
Life
Born in the GDR , grew up in East Berlin , she was later a student at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music . She has been playing the accordion since she was nine years old, and has been for over 40 years. She founded her own band, but also played with other well-known musicians, including Steve Lacy , the rock band Keimzeit and the singer Etta Scollo . She currently plays in her trio Trezoulé with Takashi Peterson on guitar and Andi Bühler on drums. She plays with Katharina Franck in the Club of Dead Poets .
Television appearances
In 1990 Pfeifer made her first appearance in the last DEFA film Die Architekten . In 1999 Cathrin Pfeifer provided the music for the German episode film Nachtgestalten . In 2016 Max Moor visited her for the RBB series Bauer sucht Kultur . In the film A Bride Seldom Comes Alone With Paul Würdig , she gives an appearance in a club in Berlin.
