Cathy Guisewite
Cathy Lee Guisewite (born September 5, 1950 in Dayton (Ohio) ) is an American comic artist .
Guisewite grew up in Midland (Michigan) and was at Midland High School and then at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor . In 1972 she did her bachelor's degree in English .
She has been drawing the comic strip Cathy since 1976 , which deals with humorous everyday stories in the life of a modern woman. At the end of the 1980s there were even 3 cartoon TV specials with Cathy , for which Guisewite received an Emmy . On October 3, 2010, the last episode of Cathy appeared after 34 years.
Cathy Guisewite was married to director and screenwriter Christopher Wilkinson in Los Angeles , California from 1997 to 2011 , with whom they have a daughter.
