Cathy Peattie
Cathy Peattie (born November 24, 1951 in Grangemouth ) is a Scottish politician and member of the Labor Party .
Life
Peattie attended Moray Secondary School , which she left at the age of 15. She then worked for an industrial company for nine years.
Political career
In the Scottish general elections in 1999 Peattie stood as a candidate for the Labor Party for the constituency of Falkirk East . With a clear lead over the candidate of the SNP she won the mandate and moved into the newly created Scottish Parliament . In the following parliamentary elections in 2003 and 2007 , she defended her mandate. The parliamentary elections in 2011 brought a change of the MP from Falkirk East, because the SNP politician Angus MacDonald managed to win the constituency for his party for the first time.
