Falkirk East is a constituency for the Scottish Parliament . It was introduced in 1999 as one of ten constituencies in the electoral region of Central Scotland and has remained unchanged since then. It covers the eastern areas of the Falkirk Council Area . The largest cities within the constituency boundaries include Grangemouth and Bo'ness . However, Falkirk itself is in the Falkirk West constituency . The constituency sends a representative.
The constituency covers an area of 193.2 km 2 . In the 2011 census survey, a total of 78,458 people lived within its borders.
