Uddingston and Bellshill is a constituency for the Scottish Parliament . It was introduced as part of the constituency revision in 2011 and is now one of nine constituencies in the Central Scotland constituency . Much of the Uddingston and Bellshill area was previously assigned to the constituency of Hamilton North and Bellshill . Uddingston and Bellshill comprises areas of the North Lanarkshire Council Area . Bellshill and Bothwell are the two largest cities within the constituency. The constituency sends a representative.
The constituency extends over an area of 42.2 km 2 . In the 2011 census survey, a total of 74,181 people lived within its borders.
