Cavaglia (Switzerland)

Cavaglia is a hamlet in Val Poschiavo in the Swiss canton of Graubünden . Cavaglia is located on the Cavaglia plateau formed by glaciers at 1703 m above sea level. M. northwest of Poschiavo . It is the highest village in Val Poschiavo.
Cavaglia used to be a workers' village around the local hydroelectric power station . Today it is a holiday resort. The hamlet became known for its glacier garden with huge water holes carved into the rock. The hamlet includes some houses, an inn, a train station and an electricity company .
Trains run every hour over the Bernina Pass to St. Moritz and Tirano in Valtellina .
Cavaglia is known for its glacier garden and the Openair Cavaglia, which has been taking place annually since 2017 .
