Cavanşir Feyziyev (also Javanshir Feyziyev , Russian Джаваншир Фейзиев ; born July 12, 1963 in Schäki , Azerbaijan ) is a member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Azerbaijan , a member of the Committee on Cultural Affairs and the Committee on International and Interparliamentary Relations.

Life

Cavanşir Feyziyev attended middle school between 1970 and 1980. In 1983 he was called up for military service in Kazakhstan and served until 1985. From 1986 to 1991 he studied at the Faculty of Translation of the Azerbaijan Teacher-Translator, graduated with honors, and was then Executive Director of Studies at this institute until 1992 - and translation center “Linguist” and editor of the translation chair (1992–1994). From September 1994 to May 1995 he was an interpreter and manager of the aid organization Doctors Without Borders in Belgium . From 1995 to 1998 he was a department head at Philip Morris USA (Gafgaz representative office). He founded Planet Co. Ltd in 1998 and was its director until 2002. He then co-founded and general director (until 2010) of AvroMed and in 2004 also founded Tour-Invest in Shaki.

He speaks several languages: Azerbaijani, Russian, Turkish, French and English.

Feyziyev is married and has four children.

Scientific activity

From 2004 to 2009 Feyziyev was a PhD student at the Institute of Philosophy, Sociology and Law of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Azerbaijan. With his dissertation on the subject of moral aspects of ethnopolitical conflicts , he received his doctorate in philosophy in 2009.

In 2010 he became a doctoral candidate at the Institute for Philosophy of the National Academy of Sciences with the aim of obtaining a doctorate in political science (based on the scientific work Association of Turkish States: Eurasia Model of Global Integration ).

Political activity

In 2010 and 2015 Feyziyev was elected a deputy to the National Assembly of the Republic of Azerbaijan (constituency No. 115, Shaki).

He is a member of the National Assembly's Committee on International and Interparliamentary Relations and the Culture Committee. He leads the inter-parliamentary working teams for relations between Azerbaijan and the countries of Great Britain and France . He is also a member of the inter-parliamentary working team for Switzerland , Hungary , Bosnia , Herzegovina , Kyrgyzstan and Japan .

He is also a member of the representative staff of the National Assembly for the Turkish-speaking Parliamentary Assembly and a member of the representative staff of the National Assembly at the EURO-NEST Parliamentary Assembly . Since January 2017 he has been co-chair of the parliamentary cooperation committee between the EU and Azerbaijan.

Public activity

In 2005 he became the co-founder and editor of the scientific journal “Discovery Azerbaijan”. He is also a co-founder of the Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan Friendship Society . He has been a member of the Azerbaijan Journalists' Association since 2010 and was elected a board member of the Azerbaijan Press Council in 2013 and 2018. In 2015 he was made an honorary ambassador for the city of Colmar (France). He has been a member of the Azerbaijan Writers' Union since 2018.

  • 2018: Translation of the novel Big Heart by the French writer Jean-Christophe Rufin into the Azerbaijani language

Since 2008 he has been the editor of over 60 scientific articles in various publishers in Azerbaijan , Turkey , the USA , Kazakhstan , Ukraine and Russia and author of over 100 articles on socio-political and historical-philosophical topics in the periodical press.
