Cay Süberkrüb

Cay Süberkrüb (born April 3, 1954 in Kiel ) has been the district administrator of the Recklinghausen district in North Rhine-Westphalia since October 21, 2009 . He is a member of the SPD .

Life

After the legal state examination in Bielefeld , Süberkrüb worked from 1982 as head of the legal office at the city administration in Herten . There he took over the position of Head of School and Youth Department in 1993 . In this context, he held an advisory role in municipal bodies and expert committees of the KGSt and the Bertelsmann Foundationactive. Together with the state youth welfare office, he carried out the project “Quality assurance and collegial visits” in Herten. In 2000 Süberkrüb became a member of the administrative board and at the same time was appointed part-time managing director of PROSOZ Herten GmbH (until 2004). From 2002 to 2004 he was assistant to human resources and organization. From 2004 and until his election as district administrator, he was treasurer and first alderman (general representative of the mayor) of the city of Herten. Since October 2009 he has been directly elected district administrator for the Recklinghausen district. On July 2, 2019, Cay Süberkrüb announced in Recklinghausen that he did not want to run for office again in the local elections in autumn 2020.

Süberkrüb is chairman of the supervisory board of Vestische Straßenbahnen GmbH and EKOCity GmbH as well as a member of the association meetings of the RVR and VRR .

He is married and has four children.
