Cayo Saetía is a cay on the north coast of the Holguín province in eastern Cuba .
The island separates the Nipe Bay from the Atlantic Ocean . It is 42 km² and offers a rich flora and fauna. It is a registered protected nature reserve. The island is connected to the mainland by a dam.
More than half of Cayo Saetías is covered in dense forests that are home to all kinds of wildlife, including antelopes , wild cattle , wild boars , red deer , zebras and ostriches . It is a popular hunting ground , but hunting is only allowed there under strict conditions.
