Cecilia "Cissy" Ehrling (born May 22, 1984 in Gävle ) is a Swedish professional dancer . She became known to a wide audience as the winner of the second season of the Swedish edition of Strictly Come Dancing .

career

Cecilia Ehrling has been dancing since she was five, when her parents enrolled her in the dance school in Gävle. At the age of 16, she moved to Stockholm to build a professional dance career. In addition to her regular high school education, she continued to attend dance classes in Stockholm and also completed ballet training at the Swedish Dance Academy.

successes

Ehrling has been taking part in the Swedish championships, the European championships and the world championships in dancing for a number of years, where she has already won a bronze medal at the Swedish championships and reached the final rounds in the European and world championships.

Television competitions

With Martin Lidberg , Cecilia Ehrling took part in the second season of the Swedish version of Let's Dance in spring 2007. In the final round, the couple received the highest possible jury rating of 40 points for their tango performance and were able to prevail against TV presenters Tobbe Blom and Annika Sjöö with the majority of the audience. With the win, the couple automatically got the chance to represent Sweden on September 1, 2007 in the first edition of the Eurovision Dance Contest . The couple presented a Paso Doble and the dance Disco Fusion , but could not convince the European audience: Ehrling and Lidberg received 23 points and came 14th out of 16 participants.
