Life

Schild studied at the MAZ journalism school in Lucerne , where he completed his diploma . As a journalist he works for the social media magazine izzy . Before that he was a radio presenter at Radio105, where he presented the morning show.

Schild attracted attention when, in a telephone joke in February 2018, he tricked a member of the Swiss Army into sending him confidential documents to a fake address as "Major Schild". This sparked a public debate.

Schild gained national fame in March 2019 through a staged phone call with SVP - Cantonal Council candidate Stefan Locher. He pretended to be an unsuspecting voter, "Mr. Plüss", who wanted to get information from Locher to fill out the ballot paper. Schild, under his alias, suggested several unlawful acts, such as filling out his wife's and son's ballot papers. The SVP Cantonal Council candidate did not try to prevent him, which forced the Zurich public prosecutor to investigate. The proceedings were dropped again because, according to the prosecutor, attempted incitement is not a criminal offense.
