Celal Ozcan

Celal Özcan (* 1954 in Turkey ) is a German - Turkish journalist and book author .

Özcan, who grew up in Turkey, studied political science and newspaper science in Germany . His book publications include several Turkish phrasebooks , but also several volumes for the series dtv bilingual: Türkce Okuma Kitabi - First Turkish Reading Pieces (2008), Türk Atasözleri - Turkish Proverbs (1996), Nasreddin Hoca'dan En Iyi Fikralar - The best stories of Nasreddin Hodja (2014). He regularly wrote columns for the Süddeutsche Zeitung .

Özcan was a journalist in Munich for the Turkish daily Hürriyet , and has been living and working as editor-in-chief of the European edition of Hürriyet in Berlin since 2014.
