The construction company Cengiz İnşaat A.Ş ('Cengiz Bau AG') is a subsidiary of the Turkish Cengiz Holding , based in Istanbul . The company generated 2017 sales of one billion US dollars and is in the trade journal Engineering News Record always conducted since 2006 among the world's top 250 contractors. As part of the Cengiz Holding, Cengiz İnşaat has implemented projects worth 11.68 billion US dollars through 2019 and is currently working on projects with a value of 19.73 billion US dollars. Much of that, $ 18.79 billion, comes from local projects and $ 936 million from international projects. Cengiz İnşaat also has its own fleet of vehicles valued at over US $ 400 million.

Cengiz İnşaat had built 1,608 kilometers of roads and 144 road tunnels with a total length of 238 kilometers in the area of motorways by 2019. The number of built car bridges and viaducts now amounts to 631 structures with a total length of 91 kilometers.
For the aviation sector, Cengiz İnşaat has built 12 runways with a total length of 46.5 kilometers, as well as parking space for 500 aircraft, 70,000 vehicles and 6,500 square kilometers of apron area. Furthermore, terminals, passenger bridges, air traffic control towers, control towers, taxiways, etc.
Current and completed projects in the rail sector include more than 686 kilometers of rails, as well as 146 rail bridges and viaducts with a total length of 39 kilometers and 135 rail tunnels with a total length of 118 kilometers. In the underground segment, more than 135 kilometers of tunnels have been constructed.
In the area of dams and hydropower plants, buildings with a total capacity of 14,716 cubic hectometers of water with a total output of 4,101 megawatts and an annual production of 11.388 GWh were built, as well as water channels with a length of over 165 kilometers. Further plants with an output of over 2000 megawatts are being implemented.
The company is also active in the shipping and ports sector and has implemented projects in Turkey such as B. the port of Giresun , the port of the Sungate Port Royal Hotel near Antalya , as well as the marina of Alanya or the port of Hopa in the northeastern province of Artvin .
Current projects
The current major projects include mega-buildings such as the New Istanbul Airport , which is to become the largest airport in the world with 200 million passengers annually, six runways and an area of around 9,000 hectares .
Another mega-project is the construction of the Ilısu Dam on the Tigris , which, with a length of 1.8 kilometers and a height of 135 meters, is to store 10.4 billion m³ of water and generate 1200 megawatts of power, which corresponds to an electricity production of 3,833 gigawatts per hour. The entire reservoir should extend over a total length of 135 kilometers.
