Cenk İşler (born February 25, 1974 in Cologne ) is a former German - Turkish soccer player .
Life
İşler was born and raised in Cologne, and when he was 17 he went to Turkey.
Career
society
İşler began his career in the 1991/92 season at Samsunspor , after just one season he moved to Ünyespor . From there, Samsunspor brought him back after a year. He played for Samsunspor for four years, then moved to Adanaspor and made it into the national team . In January 2002 İstanbulspor signed him . After that, Cenk played one season each for Konyaspor , Samsunspor and MKE Ankaragücü .
For the 2005/06 season he moved to Kayseri Erciyesspor . With Kayseri he made it to the Turkish Cup final, his greatest success. After the team relegated in the following season, Cenk played for Antalyaspor and Manisaspor one season each. For the 2009/10 season he moved to Kasımpaşa Istanbul . He ended his career in January 2012.
National team
Cenk İşler completed his only international match for Turkey on September 2, 2000 in the World Cup qualifier against Moldova .
Trivia
- With 157 goals, İşler is in 9th place in the table of record scorers in the Süper Lig
- He is the first player to make it into the top 10 without playing for one of the top three clubs from İstanbul .
