The Central Coast Highway is a main road in the east of the Australian state of New South Wales . It connects the Sydney-Newcastle Freeway and the Pacific Highway at Kariong with the Pacific Highway in Doyalson . The route was officially named by the government of New South Wales on August 9, 2006 so that it could easily be identified by visitors as the access road to this stretch of coast. The route used to be part of the Pacific Highway.

course

The Central Coast Highway branches off the Sydney-Newcastle Freeway (N1) at the Kariong exit to the east and runs on the old route of the Pacific Highway through Kariong and West Gosford to Gosford . There she follows The Entrance Road east through East Gosford, Erina, Wamberal, Forresters Beach, Bateau Bay and Long Jetty to The Entrance .

The highway runs around the city center of The Entrance on the spit to Noraville and Budgewoi . From there it moves northwest through Buff Point and San Remo to Doyalson, where it meets the Pacific Highway (S83 / S111) again.

numbering

From the Kariong exit to Gosford, where the Central Coast Highway runs together with the Pacific Highway, both roads are numbered State Road 83 (S83). From Gosford via The Entrance to Doyalson, the Central Coast Highway has not yet been numbered. This will only be realized when the state roads in New South Wales are converted to the alphanumeric system.
