The Central Region (or Central) is one of the five regions of the city-state of Singapore . It had 922,980 inhabitants in 2019 (only resident population). The region comprises 13,150 hectares of land and 11 planning areas within the actual region and a further 11 in the central area.
Although the central region is mainly commercial, especially the area in the inner city center, it comprises 335,400 residential units of various types, from social housing to more exclusive forms of private housing, such as B. bungalows . There are also 1,000 acres of green space, including parks, gardens, and other recreational areas. The Central Business District , including Singapore's tallest skyscrapers, are within the region.
