Centropyxiella is a genus of unicellular , sea-dwelling, wired amoeba . It belongs to the Centropyxidae familyand includes 8 species.
features
The housings of the Centropyxiella are oval. The mouth opening is on the outside at the front and measures 10 to 20 micrometers, the rim is slightly enlarged. The surface of the housing is smooth, it is made up of overlapping, flat mineral particles that are held together by an organic cement.
Occurrence
Centropyxiella are marine organisms. They are common.

The genus was first described by Alexander Valkanov in 1970 . Type species is Centropyxiella arenaria . Centropyxiella includes eight species:
