Cercle d'études architecturales

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Cercle d'études architecturales ( CEA ) is an institution founded in Paris in 1951 by a group of leading French architects ( Auguste Perret , Pierre Sonrel , Eugène Beaudouin and Bernard Zehrfuss ). Its members included Le Corbusier and Jean Prouvé . It was called the “counter-order” of the architects. It works like an academy in which the members are co-opted , but also certain personalities are allowed who are not architects.

The CEA deals in particular with the profession of architect, the teaching and training of architecture, the built environment and its protection as well as sustainable progress and productivity in the construction industry.
