Kevin Seddiki (born December 10, 1981 in Clermont-Ferrand ) is a French guitarist , percussionist and composer .

Seddiki started playing guitar when she was 8 years old. He initially focused on the classical guitar at JP Billet in his hometown. As a teenager he also ran a rock band in which he played bass guitar . He studied classical guitar at the Conservatory in Strasbourg with Pablo Márquez; There he not only studied classical and contemporary music, but also entered the jazz department of the conservatory.

Seddiki studied and played with the bandoneon player Dino Saluzzi . Then he met the Chemirani Trio and took lessons on the Zarb from Keyvan Chemirani . In 2010 guitarist Al Di Meola brought him to his band World Sinfonia for four years ; there were also concerts with Gonzalo Rubalcaba . He also played in the world music group Oneira , which presented two albums.

In 2012 he published his debut album il Sentiero with Paolo Pandolfo (viol), Olivier Ker Ourio (harmonica), Bijan Chemirani (percussion) and Maria Simoglou (vocals). With Bijan Chemirani he recorded the duo album Imaginarium for Harmonia Mundi the following year . He also toured with Lucilla Galeazzi , Régis Gizavo, Philip Catherine , Michel Legrand , Jean-Louis Matinier , Quatour Voce and Philippe Jaroussky . The album Kymata was created in 2017 with Maria Simoglou and Iacob Maciuca . In May 2020 ECM Records released the album Rivages, which was created as a duo with Matinier .

Seddiki composes for different ensembles: The string quartet Quatour Voce recorded two of his works for the album Itinéraire in 2018 ; his pieces are also interpreted by Lionel Suarez , Yasmine Hamdan or Thibault Cauvin / Erik Truffaz . In April 2009 he won the European Guitar Prize in Dresden.
