The Cerro del Pinacate is a mountain in the Mexican state of Sonora . The mountain is 1190 m high and thus the highest point of the Pinacate Peaks (also Sierra del Pinacate ). It is located in the Sonoran Desert between the Gulf of California and the US state of Arizona .
