The 195  m high mountain is located in the Maldonado department near the city of Piriápolis , making it the second highest point there. It belongs to the Sierra de las Ánimas , as well as the Cerro Pan de Azúcar and the other smaller mountains in the vicinity of the city. At the top there is a 3000 kg bronze statue of a life-size bull. Mineral water flows out of its mouth, which is why the statue is also known as Fuente del Toro .
