Cesare Rossi (composer, 1842)

Cesare Rossi (* 1842 in Naples , † 1909 in Milan ) was an Italian composer , conductor and singing teacher .

Rossi worked as a composer, conductor and singing teacher in Naples and Milan. His opera Il ritratti di perla, based on a libretto by Enrico Golisciani , premiered at the Teatro Bellini in 1879 and was published by Antonio Alberino , Naples, in print that same year . He also published a collection of Neapolitan songs under the title Eco del Vesuvio: scelta di celebri canzoni napolitane . He must not be confused with the composer of the same name Cesare Rossi , who lived from 1858 to 1930.
