history

Ceyoniq was founded in 1984 as CE GmbH by Thomas Wenzke. On 1 January 1998 the company has been in the equipment Aktiengesellschaft CE Computer converted and went in the same year on the stock market .

In 2001, CE took over the US company Treev and at the same time renamed itself Ceyoniq AG. The Treev acquisition weighed on the company more than initially became apparent. On April 12, 2002, the company filed for bankruptcy ; Four days later, the two board members Jürgen Brintrup and Thomas Wenzke were arrested on suspicion of fraud. In 1998 the archiving software nscale was developed under the name Archive Server . With the application, digital archive objects, for example print lists or scanned Eurocheques , could be managed. The software has been continuously developed since then and is now part of a product range of EMS (Enterprise Management System) and DMS ( Data Management System ) applications. With nscale eGov , Ceyoniq also offers this service for public institutions and administration, for example for municipalities and cities or authorities. The software is based on the e-file and is modularly expandable. North Rhine-Westphalia, for example, uses eGov as a technology basis.
