The Château de Monthelie in Monthelie , a French commune in the Côte-d'Or department in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region , was originally built in the 16th century and remodeled in the 18th century. The castle has been on the list of architectural monuments in France as a Monument historique since 1988 .

The two-story building with a high tower and an outside staircase still has the furnishings of the dining room from the 18th century.

Château de Monthelie is one of the most beautiful castles in the area. It is owned by the Suremains family, who have been based in Burgundy for centuries.
