Chotoku

Chōtoku ( Japanese 長 徳 ) is a Japanese era ( Nengō ) from March 995 to January 999 according to the Gregorian calendar . The previous era name is Shōryaku , the following era is called Chōhō . The era falls during the reign of the Emperor ( Tennō ) Ichijō .

The first day of the Chōtoku era corresponds to March 25, 995, the last day was January 31, 999. The Chōtoku era lasted five years or 1409 days.
