The ChTS-7 (also KhTZ-7 depending on the transcription ) was a tractor that was produced by the Kharkov tractor factory from 1950 to 1955 .
The main area of application was transport and maintenance work, which is why the track width could be adjusted from 1000 to 1500 mm in 50 mm steps. In addition, the seat and steering wheel could be rotated by 180 ° for reversing / working. The tractor was driven by a two-cylinder four-stroke Otto engine 12 hp (8.8 kW) at 1600 min -1 made from 1320 cc. The engine power was transmitted with a reversible mechanical four-speed gearbox + crawler gear . Only the rear wheels were braked with a single wheel brake.
A three-point hydraulic system with an engine-dependent PTO shaft (nominal speed 545 min −1 ) was available at the rear for attachments . A belt pulley (diameter 30 cm) with 914 min −1 for transmission gear machines was also available.
A total of around 48,000 copies of the ChTS-7 were built until it was replaced by the DT-14 in 1955 .
