Chama from Nehardea

R. Chama from Nehardea , also Hama in Nehardea , († 377 ) was an important Babylonian Amorae of the 5th generation and lived and worked in the fourth century AD.

He was a contemporary of Papa and a student of Chisida . After Nachmans b. Isaac he became head of the school of scholars in Pumbedita .

He died in 377.
