Chamizo is a town in Uruguay .
geography
Chamizo is located in the Florida Department in Sector 2 in the Cuchilla del Chamizo . To the south extends beyond the border formed by the nearby Río Santa Lucía to the neighboring Canelones part of the Cuchilla Pérez . The closest settlements in the department are Mendoza Chico in the west and Fray Marcos in the east.

On October 21, 1931, Chamizo was legally regulated by Ley No. 8,796 classified as pueblo .
Infrastructure
The route 6 , which the route 94 meets here , leads through the village . A railway line also runs through Chamizo.
