The Ruta 6 , named after the Uruguayan politician Joaquín Suárez , is a national road in Uruguay .
The 450-kilometer road leads from Montevideo in a northerly direction to Paso Hospital and the Brazilian border a few kilometers beyond. On its first, 80 km long section to San Ramón , it is classified as Red Primaria .
